How Long have you worked at Stow-Glen, or in the Eldercare industry?
14 years at Stow-Glen and 20 years in the healthcare field!
What was your first job?
My first Job was at 16yrs old I was given the keys to a Video Arcade to run the place, the Owners Mother had died in Europe and he had to leave. I had applied. He checked my references ( Baby sitting Jobs, My Pastor and my Girl Scout Leader) I didn’t know the first thing about Video Games or running a store. He advised me on how to set machines, empty the machines, deposit the money into the bank, and where to buy and refill snacks.
What did you learn at that job that you apply to your job at Stow-Glen everyday?
As the Pastor of Stow Glen, my first job taught me that being trust worthy is so very important and so is faithfulness. I love our Savior, residents and staff. My trustworthiness and faithfulness to Jesus Christ is a very important factor in the position that I hold here. I do my best to be that individual that our people can confide in and trust as I point to them to Christ who will never leave them or forsake them.
